I tried eating just one half, then a few minutes later I thought "who would want half a piece of See's candy?" The answer, in that particular instance, was me. What's done is done.
Here is my take on it, If I came across a box containing only half of a piece of seasonal See’s candy I would immediately assume that an innocent bystander had bitten off the other half only to find that it was one of those candies that makes you wish it had only been chocolate. The remaining half was then put back in its place... That being said, in general I think people are cautious about half candies left in the box so do not put anyone through the potential stress and just take the combined pieces for yourself.

If you are the culprit and would like to turn yourself in, please just send me an e-mail with my password. I won't press charges. I won't even try to get even.
